The Railway department attributed the delays to fog and ongoing railway work in Chhapra Gramin and Barabanki. Specifically, the 15268 Raxaul Antyodaya Express was delayed by 2 hours, the 20504 Rajdhani Express by 1.5 hours, the 15232 Gondia-Barauni Express by 5.5 hours, the 12566 Bihar Sampark Kranti by 4.5 hours, and the 02570 Darbhanga Clone by 18 hours. Other trains including the 12554 Vaishali, 12562 Swatantrata Senani, 11061 Pawan Express, 15706 Champaran Humsafar, and 13022 Mithila were also delayed by varying durations.
