A small query: Does the 12867 HWH-PDY Superfast Exp. runs on(hauled) by a WAP-4(mainly SRC) uptill PDY?
Or is there a loco change (WDM-series) from KPD to PDY?
Since,the whole of route through VM till PDY is already electrified under 25kV A.C.

For reply to your query, VM-KPD section is unelectrified- hence the trains change loco at KPD
You can see in attached pic a SRC loco idling at KPD section

It is really disheartening that inspite of all the Railway network in the Southern India more or less Electrified,why the KPD-VM section remains non-electrified???!!!

After GC it was thrown open for traffic recently and there are lot more lines especially towards Delta region that have to be electrified still- so this will get priority after that owing to lesser number of trains
