As per your image can't the cricket experts suggest the changes in the design of the helmet so that the grill also covers the back portion of our ears to avoid future casualties? What do you suggest? ICC should rethink on it.
Playing with helmet is always uncomfortable players. But they are wearing it mainly because of safety. New helmets partically cover this area... for sure helmet manufacture will think of it.

Even if there is no role of ICC, it should take the initiative of keeping the standard of all gears used in the cricket so that the manufacturers follow the laid down instruction to produce the gadgets. This will be good for all the stake holders.
According to massauri helmet company experts he was wearing old test match helmets which has thin layer. So it caused him more injury it's over now and cricket committee shld think about introducing full safety helmet's
