Whether anyone here has ever got Free Upgrade to higher class ?? I have been selecting that option right from day it started andhave undergone many train journeys.. neither me or my family or friends have ever got this upgrade of class.. have you ???? is there any trick to it ???
It did once happen with me when my AC3 waiting ticket was upgraded to AC2

Hi.. I m new to this portal.. very confused on its usage.. can u ping me in chat. or something and guide.
There is no trick to it, but there are certain conditions like, there should be vacant berths in upper class and ticket availability should be in Waiting List in lower class and also the passenger should be full fare paying passenger. Though the upgradation happens, it is rare during peak/vacation season and in high demand trains.
There is no trick buddy, only thing is that the above conditions (given by hareesh) should be fulfilled and you should be lucky.
I have been upgradaed twice till now:
1st time upgraded in 2013 from 2A to 1A in Shaan-e-bhopal express from BINA to Nizamuddin
2nd time upgraded in 2014 from 3A to 2A in Rockfort Exp from TPJ to MS while travelling...
