COMPLETE UPDATE ON KALABURAGI DAUND DOUBLING
Pics & Info by:- mukundvs @ SSCI
I started my journey in Karnataka Express from Kalaburagi as on 30/10/2015. These are the pictures clicked at the very best to give latest civil work happening in the north region of Karnataka and how this doubling would improve connectivity with the state of Karnataka.
Pic details
1.
...
Kalaburagi Station
2. New footover bridge coming up @ GR
3. Last sign of electrification , which ends at beginning of the platforms in Kalaburagi
4. The first sign of doubling work after crossing of Kalaburagi towards Akkalkot road. Guess the new contractor has finally started with the work.
5. The tractor trolly at its best to deliver sleepers at its destination
6. Scissor crossing
7. More sleepers being brought in
8. Replacement of scissor crossing by new station, but all this activity was seen after Akkalkot road station, practically work has just begun on Kalaburagi Akkalkot road section, previous contractor had done hardly any job, with little bit of earth work, thank God the contractor has been changed
9. Another view of the upcoming station
10. Points are almost ready, but gain its all in Akkalkot-Hotgi section
11. Work happening at speed on Akkalkot- Hotgi section
12. A day prior to CRS inspection on Solapur div , brings in whole army of railway workers
13. Minor civil work, storm drain
14. More work seen between Mohol Kurduvadi. Looks like this is more on priority thank Kurduvadi- Bhigvan section towards Daund
15. Earth work at its full swing on Mohol- Kurduvadi section.
16. Bridge work happening simultaneously
17. Main benefit of existing bridges is having a room for second line. Saves time and money too.
18. Work is slow after Kurduvadi- Bhigvan section and the only thing is happening is the terrain are being cut, making way for the second line.
19. Won't go too much in details as most of the work is being taken up by CR in Akkalkot Road- Hotgi section and work is at very fast pace between Solapur Kurduvadi Jn. However lots is to be done as hardly any sign of signalling work could be seen. Plus work has just re started on Kalaburagi- Akkalkot road and Kurduvadi- Bhigvan.
