Due to politics and other factors,stops were added,train was slowed down and degraded now almost to the status of a fast passenger. Still I remember the golden days when I travelled by 12639 to SBC. However degraded it mayb, its charm is not lost. It still takes thousands of comman men to their destinations and still holds the same status in railfan's heart. Days are not far when Lalbagh,kovai and others also mayb degraded. It is time that this degradation must b looked into.
