SBCKLBGVandeSadharana~ 10624 blog postsThis train in literally running empty. Travelled from YPR to SC on 15Jan. 5 coaches were completely empty. I opted for UB wen booking ticket, after getting into the train I could choose my preferred coach as well as best berth for rail-fanning-Side Lower berth.
15th Jan is Sankranti festival and people have already travelled to their places in Hyderabad and Andhra. Obviously.. it will be empty on that day..It is expected.. You might have travelled yesterday from SC.. am not saying it runs jam packed always.. but definitely improved a lot since 2 months when it got speeded up a bit..
Yes, I too agree with u, the festival was on friday (15th Jan) so many could have travelled on thurday itself. Also the patronage has improved compared to previous months. I went by friday's YPR-SC GR.
This route's whole bottleneck is YNK-GTL, so congested that my GR was stopping for goods to pass. It arrived GTL at 22:05, departed at 22:20 and reached SC on dot perfectly at 5:30AM on PF-3.
Yes I too travelled in the same YPR-SC Garibrath 3 weeks back.. I got down at LPI at 4:45 AM.. and on YNK-GTL stretch.. it was given less speed .. so gives way for even passengers and freight trains... Actually SCR did a good job in improving its speed though it got slowed down by Mr Kharge.. though u agree or not..
