Railways set deadline of dec 2017 for completion of guage conversion bw jabalpur and nainpur; gondia - balaghat have already been converted.Thus, jabalpur -gondia -ballarshah section total BG. Considering this and the factors that chances of doubling of this bg will be very less in near future but the freights traffic will be low initially;
which trains going southwards from up/ bihar/jharkhand region you wish to be diverted through this section ?

except for DFT routes, not routes has come up as double route yet. so eventually it will also be doubled.

Its difficult to re-route the Dailies, however weeklies like MS-GAYA, RMM-BSB , LKO-YPR and JBP-YPR can be diverted via BTC.

Yes, if properly maintained by SECR thsi line has potential to become alternative bypass not only for jbp - et but also for the highly congested kte - et- ngp - bpq. Atleast the duronto and other non stop sf can be bypassed.
