The aim is to curb blackmarketeering, of tickets but this too may find legal hurdles, as it was challanged in court that Aadhar Card is not a MUST for various Govt transactions by an individual. Someone may challenge in court of Law challenging this rule of Aadhaar itself.
Indian Railways shall be given some subsidy in reservation charges for those producing AADHAAR card number during train ticket booking.
SUPREME COURT permitted for any subsidy related benefit to the public and made mandatory for availing subsidy during booking.

I read this news on trak.in too just now and wanted to post the same here and I was re-directed to this post. This is shocking. From when will this be implemented? As I do not have an AADHAAR CARD as of now. :(
