Even SBC-MYS exp to reduce load on Chamundi is in news since years, but no implementation.

Yes make the present Bangalore karwar/kannur exp as two operate one train to kannur via Mysore and another to madgoan via shravanabeloga and cancel the present Mangalore madgoan intercity express. This train itself serves as day inter city express as most travellers get down from Mangalore to kundapur with separate quota for Goa.
(1) Why polishing a dining table and taking pride when its legs are creaking!!
(2) Instead of attacking at the root cause of the problem i.e. doubling or increasing the sectional capacity of the Hasan-Mangalore section, specifically the ghat section, the new line will serve no significant purpose for the Mangalore bound traffic, as introduction of new trains (possible after de-bottlenecking the Hasan-Mangalore section) is the primary requirement.
