Although all the exercise like budget making for next financial year shall be done by IR as usual or just like any other govt organisation, the news of Rail Bhavan missing the "buzz" of budget is a clear indication that the political interference is reducing. Every MP wanted favourable announcements in Rail budget so as to have a positive influence over his/her electorate.

Ab to aur bhi politically motivated decisions liye jaiyenge. Budget me train announce hogi nahi to jo bhi party Centre me hogi apne political mileage k liye poll bound states me train ki bauchaar Ker degi or bakio ko milega neel bate sannata. Current govt ne iska ek namuna bhi humare saamne pesh kiya hai. Pehle Budget me jub trains announce hote the to kisi ko kum kisi ko jyada per milta sab ko kuch na kuch jaroor tha per ab aisa nahi hoga or naa hi aap or hum aisi ummid rakhiye ki desk ki koi bhi political party itni impartial hogi ki wo apne political benefits ko najar andaaj ker de. Is merger se sirf ek hi fayda hai ki Railway ko dividend nahi dena hoga aur kuch nahi.
Something, atleast a passenger/DEMU used to be given to the neglected parts of the country due to pressure and so called "interference". Now nothing..... Just winnability based handing out of trains as per the whims and fancies of the powers that be.
