Today I am facing a very odd situation from IRCTC.
I booked a ticket on 17-Mar-2017 and the PNR is 6162722734, at the booking time the situation was RAC 11, now in the IRCTC website I am finding that the status is WL2.
I never found this kind of situation before.
Can anybody please tell me why this has happened?

The original has been waitlist 2 which had moved into RAC while booking..The booking status will always show the original status and not running status..The status of your ticket is actually confirmed as of now
