As a small boy of 12 years. I once went early morning at about 5 am to Chennai Central to receive a relative of mine arriving by Howrah Chennai Mail and asked at the ENQUIRY COUNTER whether the "CHENNAI MAIL" was on time. Being Kolkata based, I have always referred to that train thus. But to the enquiry clerk it made no SENSE. He asked me in turn which train I was talking about. Bangalore Mail, Bombay Mail, Mangalore Mail,Cochin Mail or Howrah Mail.
but this train has a technical halt at itarsi for loco change.
