A bypass is needed at Akola Junction to link Badnera-Akola line with Akola-Purna line. Similarly a bypass at Purna Junction to link Akola-Purna line with Purna-Nanded line. Both these bypasses will avoid reversals at Akola and Purna, which will be very useful for long distance freights. For instance, a long distance freight coming via Itarsi-Narkher-Amravati can go to Secunderabad via Akola-Purna without reversals...

Bypass banne se station ki tarraki nahi band baj jati hai...Bina Jn. aur Manikpur Jn. iska best example hai...
Purna 36 thousand population wala small town hai. Agar bypass line banti bhi hai to Purna ke gine chune passenger araam se Nanded se train pakad sakte hai joke just 30km hai Purna se. But isse long distance trains ka kitna fuel aur time bach sakta hai. Isliye Purna jaise small town par bypass to banna chahiye.

Tody again 19713 took 44min halt at Purna jn for loco reversal.
