12028 cannot be short terminated at KPD as 99% of bookings are from/to MAS. It should have been cancelled fully instead. Running an empty AC train from KPD to SBC is probably not worth the operational cost. Way too many last minute cancellations have happened on Saturday thanks to poor planning. None of these huge line blocks are possible without cancellations and I was quite surprised SR didnt announce these cancellations long ago.
I felt, 12028 of 6-May shd have been cancelled, or else another set of delays coming.. SR decided to cancel its trains towards SBC tomorrow (12007, 22625, 12639)..
Yes that's because they have planned a mega line block between 1am and 9am. There will be no time for PM at all so all these were cancelled. 12028 could easily have been routed via KPD, VM, MS it would have reached MAS with 2hr delay max.
All 3 Shatabdis are expected to skip AJJ at 105kph post the upgrade works. 12007 and 12027 were given 1hr20m in TT between MAS and KPD 1.5yrs back as SR was planning to upgrade AJJ back then but the project never kicked off for more than 1 year and TT was reverted to 1hr38m in last TAAG. We can expect speed up again this year if AJJ works are completed.
Yeah. As per schedule, it was 18:50 hrs at KPD with an average of 100 kmph between MAS and SBC and then it was reverted to the old TT of arriving at around 19:15 hrs. /blog/post/2562681
