HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED
Not so long ago, maybe a quarter of a century or less, Refreshment Stalls at all major railway stations offered a variety of rice preparations. On display were packets of Sambar Rice, Tamarind Rice, Lemon Rice and of course, the ubiquitous Curd Rice. But with the gradual efflux of time these items have undergone superannuation, only to be replaced by the new generation recipe going by the generic name of BIRIYANI.
What a hungry passenger now has is a kinda Hobson's choice of either Veg.Biriyani, Egg Biriyani, Chicken Biriyani...

Funny fact is that. The word biryani is a marketing gimmick. That biryani whatever sold in station don't even have proper masala. It's just some flavour added to white rice. With the word biryani they start selling at 80/-,100/-, 120/- as depends. Two weeks back I have travelled in Rayalaseema exp from TPTY to LPI when chattering person came he directly told only biryani available.

Add to it veg biriyani doesnt have vegetables, egg biriyani has just two eggs and rest is color rice.
