Joydeep Ji,
Thanks for your sugession.
The sugession I have given is for the present rail network in Assam. However, after completion of RNY MZS Gauge conversion, I would not suggest the diversion. Passengers from the North Bank could catch the train from RNY or DBRG (DBRG will be connected after completion of Bogibeel Bridge). Many old memories refreshed with just the name of this train. We used to travel in this train from Jammu to Hajipur during our childhood days around 1995-98. As those days my father was in Army and he was posted to Akhnoor. we used to board this train at the yard itself in General coaches as those days the salary of army personnel was less and father didn't wanted to spend that much money.
My first travel in reserved coaches on any trains was in year 1999 from Jhansi to cpr in Gwl Bju mail, which used to go till Chapra those days..
