Take these data for your inference:
Between Mangalore and Bangalore, more than 60 pvt buses and 67 KSRTC buses are running (Data for tomorrow). Assuming 40 pass/ bus, 5000 passengers are travelling from Bangalore to Mangalore in a single day.
Add 11private + 43 KSRTC buses to Dharmasthala, 3 private + 13 KSRTC to Kukke Subrahmanya. Add 10 for few buses to Udupi, Puttur, Kundapura, Bhatkal are there, which are not touching Mangalore. Total 80 buses. Assuming 40 pass/ bus, 3200 passengers from Bangalore to these locations.

Train like YPR-KCG 16569 should be run via ASK, Chitradurga, Rayadurg, BAY, GTL, DHNE. Even during festival season it runs empty, So it can be tried in that route & such a train will give connectivity of not well connected places like Chitradurga, Rayadurg to Bangalore & Hyderabad.
instead it can be MYS-KCG sir . MYS needs a desperate connectivity to Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam. I have Lots of Infosys people boarding private bus just because they don't have a train connectivity
I would say they should also run a superfast from YPR to VSG which covers the distance in 12 to 13 hours max.
Looks like railways are not interested in running that train... Such a horrible TT and it runs on same days as Garib Rath... I believe they have bent for bus lobby. If it runs in perfect timings, say like 12785/86, it will be a super hit train.
