Reservation suspended for the train after Oct 2nd. All RSA trains reservation are also suspended. Likely to see some changes in TT but since RSA reservation is also suspended, its likely to still have RSA after LHBfication. Will the departure change to morning 06 AM from Charlapalli ? Have to wait and watch.....
One thing is for sure. SR is lazy and waste zone. Especially MAS and TVC , they don't want to maintain no train but keep their zones lol and I say this as SR railfan lol

This train already runs jam-packed I think. Maybe within kerala it runs a little empty during the day time, but pax keep boarding and it fills up by the time it reaches CBE. But CAPE extension will avoid the ridiculous Charminar extension proposal which should not happen under any circumstance.
Train runs not and off boarding but is full mostly. I think with current status train will be a SCR train - speed up is good for this train.
Just for my understanding, looking at the replies, both of u RFans r confident that with extn, will be superhit... but won't that be long??? I mean the shortest route is via TEN, DG, SA, KPD, RU, and rest stns, rather than taking a longer route i.e. via TVC, ERN and then reaching SA??
Extended train can be rerouted. Its not a justice to the current running route.
Well it's a train meant to cater to the people in Kerala primarily. The extension was proposed because TVC division is whining about SM of this train. It also rejected a proposal for PM and speedup of this train which would save one rake, basically stalling any improvement. The only solution here seems to be extension. Island Express (SBC CAPE) takes the longer route as well. I believe it was extended from ERN or TVC to CAPE.

Only a person who has travelled in this train recently could confirm this.
Island and CAPE-MS are recently running with 22 coaches after adding one 3AC economy class.
Have seen the Pearl City rake getting parked somewhere between Kodambakkam and Pallavaram from morning to evening. CAPE Exp is stabled mostly in MS itself.

If this also gets an extra 3AC its likely all three have RSA. Let's see.
Pearl City is an independent rake now. Only 12633/34 and 16525/26 have RSA.
