NI work started for the last patch of doubling between Gulbarga and Solapur. Kulali to Swalagi will be doubled line after CRS on 8th Nov. This will completes doubling between entire section of Solapur to Wadi. This will reduce slack time of non-stop trains which are currently taking 2 to 3 hrs to flat 1 to 1.5 hr.

Detailed status of doubling and electrification of Pune - Solapur section.
As a part of Solapur - Daund doubling, day before yesterday CRS completed between Wadshinge and Bhalawani.

line should be realigned to accommodate new UP Main Line. As of now, only down side loop line is operational at Kem. At Kurduwadi Junction, major remodeling work is completed. Some minor works are remaining.
Disappointing thing at Kurduwadi is after realignment Pandharpur line will be branch line from UP Main line at Pune outer as shown in the video. It should be separate line coming from PF1 of Kurduwadi to ease the operation.
From Kem to Madha, foundation base for installing poles are created on both lines. Poles are also installed near Kem.

4. Temporary tents installed at outer of all stations consist of ASM for ease of operation.
5. Middle line is closed for changing alignment at Kem.

Due to pending issue of LC gate at KWV, RB has rejected request of block for interlocking purpose.
As per railway, they can't proceed with doubling work unless LC gate at KWV is closed and removed.
But the localites are opposed this and raised issue in High Court.

railway is ready to construct RUB by removing LC, but railway demanding Kurduwadi Corporation to deposit 5 crs for this.
So due to this fight between railway and local government, doubling work is completely stopped even though Wadshinge to Bhalawani track is doubled and only interlocking work is remaining.
