Do u really think ecr will aprrove this type of project in place other than patna, danapur or rjpb....

The current bridge is wide enough to hold 2 tracks, why do they need to build a new bridge.

Is Ashwini Ji really the best candidate to lead railways, along with broadcasting and IT, considering the recent challenges the Railways and the news industry has faced in the recent years under the BJP govt? IT is a perfect fit for him in my opinion. The recent decrease in the number of SL coaches, priority of goods traffic over passenger traffic, delays incurring in regular Express trains, the crisis of unreserved passengers not even leaving AC coaches and boarding them without reservation, train safety mishaps, all are a testament to his mismanagement of the responsibilities as the minister of railways, while also claiming credit for achieving some very good milestones like electrification, MPS increase in various routes etc. And the news industry/broadcasting has also been compromised but that is off topic for this forum. This government is a disaster when it comes to communicating to the public the Acts they are passing eg. CAA and Farm Laws.
Just imagine if Railways had priced 3E fares as a middle ground between SL and 3A how much political benefits it would have given them ?
By doing that they could have also gone for gredual rise in non AC fares like 5% a year.

That's a good idea but now 3E is completely stopped and SL production is increased again and now Amrit Bharath trains are also going to produced at huge level in outlets
I feel sometime during this year not in budget but on a random date AC class fares are going to increase for sure.
Since AC coaches have already increased proportional even a 10% increase will give good returns.
Govt will escape criticism saying we increased AC fares which happen to be 15-20% of total while an average Indian is still in sleeper and Unreserved class.

I was actually surprised that apart from tweets there was absolutely no coverage in media about the rake standardisation issue. Even within his own party and neither from opposition nobody seems to highlight this. I guess everyone keeps asking for new train and stoppages and that is where their understanding of railways is. Recently couple of days back he informed all GM's and RPF to act on these complaints but the fundamental issue which is of reduced gen coaches and reduced SL coaches still remains unaddressed. Another issue of poor punctuality of trains in Mumbai-Kolkata sector is unaddressed since almost 3 years now !!!
