This month 2 GRs are converted to LHB 12257/58 and 2611/12612. Waiting for 12739/40 (Only daily GR in IR) LHB
It's SCR garib rath,SCR is very very slow in lhb conversation so it will take more time
I think even if SCR adds coaches now, in future coach count will go down to 20 once it goes LHB. Also, doesn't this already run with 130 MPS? SCR will take its sweet own time to convert this train to LHB .

Needless to say it would be a connectivity not just for Bangalore people but also for chennai people if we could catch this by taking intercity or something. Vasco is also in SWR so this train could be extended easily

is it ? I thought its the good train from Can to SBC and always runs full.
Before covid it was running as Karwar Vasco passenger which the residents of Vasco want back. Maybe after completing remaining doubling works in MAO VSG section they will extend.

ECR zone has half of the trains with average speed under 45 kmph.
Low mps of many section, excessive Freight movement, lot of local trains, too many intermediate stations, no Loop lines on many stations.
Then some gradients in Gaya Koderma and cic zone. Also forest zone and naxal belt also play role in average speed decline.

It should be 40 kmph & below .
20 - 39 kmph = Suburban trains / Fast pgr category.
40-59 kmph = Mail / exp category
60-69 kmph = Superfast / Ac superfast.

It's so weird that they give out such instructions!!! I think in coming days India will transition to American and Canadian style railways, where Railways are meant mostly for freight and passengers are sidelined for freight trains. Obviously, that will definitely happen if railways starts selling routes to private stakeholders.
Almost 1 year of your post, still the condition of trains between Howrah and Mumbai/Pune is the same. No improvement.
they dont care ser secr for coal intentionaly delay passenger trains n ruin their punctuality
SER is infamous for delaying trains since time immemorial, so hoping them to improve is out of question
