Hope SWR strikes down LKO MAO train citing Ghat constraints and asks NR to route it via KRCL.
Stoppage of LKO-MAO Express should be provided at Unnao. Although this train will have very less number of stops yet the stoppage at unnao will mean a lot because there is no direct train from Unnao to Madgaon or Goa region. It may seem that providing stoppage at unnao will not be beneficial for the train but we should look to the case of Bihar Samparkkranti Express. When this train got stoppage at Unnao, there was very negative narrative flowing on the railfan community but the reservation stats of this train in up direction proved that Unnao have potential for stoppage of some premium trains
NR proposed nothing for introducing new trains for South India like Chennai/Bengaluru/Hyderabad to Amritsar. Once I wrote RTI for any proposal for extension of PDY NDLS weekly to Amritsar as it arrives very odd timings about 12 AM at NDLS also it's RSA pair of MLDT NDLS.
. But NR rejected it saying path constraints, freight train raat mein chalana etc etc useless excuses. As no Direct trains from South to Amritsar except (Kochuveli Amritsar and Hirakud), most of the South based passengers going for Amritsar often suffer due to improper/lack of buffer timings.
