Some regional daily overnight trains run for 300-700km for max 12-14, hrs and stay idle during day. Some of the rakes of trains upto 500km can be run as day intercity express for short distance or back to originating station. IR need to implement a change in reservation system by treating SL as SL , 3AC, 3ACE as ACC during day intercity and utilized the idle time by increasing capacity, freeup stabling line. Atleast 25 new intercity can be introduced and with addition of single rake another 25 new daily trains can be added which will be win win for both travellers as well as Railways. All 6 metros city have such possibility.

As far as i remember, it was in Shreyansh Jain's vlogs, wherein he has described that after RSA of Shram Shakti, its quality/interiors have deteriorated.

SGAC ICE is nothing but a way of clearing space at NDLS. In comparison augmenting an ICE with 2A/ 3A which does not have rsa with an overnight is not something usual in IR I suppose.

Even I'll prefer SL and 3A in ICE when given an option, but 2A seems to be weird.
