Maybe RSA timing constraints, but it should be extended to GKP.
Such small distance trains barely occupy 2A. Localites prefer General and 2S itself few people take AC.
Yes, due to RSA it has a 2A coach. It could be expected to GKP, now that AYC-ALD track is in better condition. But with increased stoppages at places like Khajurhat, Maskanwa and trite ones like Gaur, Tinich; it's quite tough. If these stoppages are removed, it can easily save 20+ minutes in both directions.
It has Rake sharing with 14308/07 Bareilly - Prayagraj sangam express which runs in daily basis..

GTNR-CI Exress going via Thawe apparently just stands at the platform all day. It has gotten LHB coaches recently and with it, increase in AC coaches.

This train had few AC 3 Tier then and 1 AC 2 Tier. Post Thawe, I poked a look into AC 2 Tier. And boy, it wasn't even a quarter full. Well, many policemen had seats but not many civilians. The coach attendant even remarked that many berths remained vacant all through the night. It's an interesting choice for passengers on GKP-CPR loop line, but doesn't really have that much demand for Air conditioned travel as of yet.

In winter and in the off-season, you will observe that plenty of seats are available. Seats are easily available. The composition of the old ICF coach was sufficient for the traffic on this route. It gets a good number of pax during the season in the THE-CPJ section, especially from Ramkola and Padrauna. I remember in 2018, I travelled in 05065 CPR-LJN Special. It was having a composition of 12 coaches (1 - 3A, 3- SL). It was jam-packed post Padrauna, Ramkola. Due to last moment, I got seat in 3A from GKP quota as of this I travelled in GS from SV to GKP.
