What do you dislike about Railfans? Is there any characteristic which you do not like at all?
For example, I dislike one thing about us, the RFs:
I know it's a quality, but at the same time it is also madness. Now, I don't want to be exposed in public as a mad. But many of us do that (sorry to say). Shouting or discussing about weird railway terms at full volume, taking pictures in the open- these are the things which attract attention.

You are absolutely right. In my previous company my colleagues used to literally call me station master. But I did not mind about it and tried to help the genuine people with my knowledge as best as I can. There are certain things which you cannot change.
On a sarcastic note let us form one secret underground organization with some wacky names like the ones in movie Angels and Demons. :):)
