for North- East Frontier Railways, was running 10 minutes behind schedule. It is also one of the highest demanded trains in Indian Railways, and runs with either high WL, or REGRET throughout the year. But surprisingly this train does not have any fixed coach composition. It varies between 24- 25 coaches, which includes 8- 10 a.c. coaches.

The train follows the mammoth Bangalore City- Bangalore Cantt.- Krishnarajapuram- Bangarapet- Jolarpettai- Katpadi- Arrakkonam- Chennai Central- Vijaywada- Vishakapatnam- Brahmapur- Khurdah Road- Bhubaneshwar- Cuttack- Jajpur Keonjhar Road- Kharagpur- Santragachi- Howrah- Bolpur Shantiniketan- Rampurhat- Malda Town- Kishanganj- New Jalpaiguri- New Cooch Behar- New Alipurduar- New Bongaigaon- Rangiya- Kamakhya- Guwahati route of SWR/ SCR/ SR/ ECoR/ SER/ ER/ NFR to cover 2992 kms in 54 hours. It is named after the world famous Kaziranga National Park in Assam. The train badly needs a WDP- 4/ 4B/ 4D or twin WDM- 3A/ 3D for its journey between Howrah and Guwahati, and also needs to be made daily.
