I agree that UBL plays huge politics. It was a disaster to high Zonal HQ to UBL. Here are 2 more examples - UBL pressed for WADI - GDG line which is of not much importance. It doesn't connect many district HQ. Instead, BJP - SDB line was much much useful both to public and to frights. But UBL went ahead with WADI-GDG line which would provide them a direct line to Hyderabad.
One more example is, they are not at all concerned about doubling SBC - DMM line. Everyone knows how hopelessly this line is saturated. Once doubled, both SBC-CSTM and SBC-SC trains get breathing space. But instead, they are putting all efforts to double SBC-UBL line and UBL-PUNE line....
