271 KM with 14 halts...and this is an SF!! Is tarha janta ko lootna kab chhorega IR?!
Sorry to say, but this 55 KMPH rule of IR is just idiotic. There shouldn't be any specific rule to it. This mps should vary from route-to-route. Ex. HWH-DHN or NDLS-CNB stretch can never be compared with GHY-DMV stretch. Infact, a train which has greater speed and lesser stops than others enroute should be called an SF for that specific route. In HWH-DHN stretch where most of the trains are doing 70-80 comfortably, then 55 should not be a measurement here for an SF. Had it been in RNC-DHN section, then it might be considered...
it simply means people in hwh dhn stretch should pay 50% more than what people paying in GHY DMV stretch because of the better facilities they're receiving. If they're paying more then let the S/F surcharge be enhanced for 65 kmph
Sir, you are taking my points wrongly...what I am trying to say, SF tag should there against only those trains whose MPS is among the tops in their respective section. SF charge should be same. It's not possible to maintain same speed in every section. Many factors work there- steep gradients, forest areas, soil conditions etc. So why try to implement same rule for every section! Say if you travel on road, 55KMPH is a good speed on an ordinary road, but is it fast enough on a 6 lane National Express Highway?!
