Why do we still need a guard and a caboose with goods train in IR ?? whereas countries like USA and UK and other European countries don't use them at all.
U mean in other nation, they dont need guard at end?
The guard is much needed, the same way any passeger service train needs the guard....
As IR Rake isnt fix & Wagon always remain in haphazard way placed & arranged as available..its easier to attach/detach caboose rather than inducing SLR type Wagons!!!

Not every consist doesn't use a Guard or a Caboose even outside. It depends on their management system too.
Earlier, Caboose existed in US n UK's freight trains, but later it came to almost an extinct in some places.
The details of the entire rolling stock, material is kept with the conductor of the train aka in our terms, the ALP.

you mean remove caboose finish off the Post "Goods Guard" the same way it was done for"Assistant Guard"..??? we dont need such advance technology which takes away jobs & ultimately yeh technology k sahare hum kare kya if there is no emplyment in the country? at least IR providing 14 lakh employment in the country & political parties are asking for votes on those employments.
Did i say to remove such things in IR?
