I strongly suggest a regular supperfast train between Yesvantpur to Ahmedabad VIA Kacheguda. Though the route is 175km more than other short routes but it has better infrastructure (2/3 of the route is bouble line electrified).
Secondly, this route will connect many cities with a single regular train - Ahmedabad, Surat, Hyderabad,Bangalore. Please find attached the route and the timings.
Thirdly, you should have 3 (2A), 5 (3A), PC, 10 (SL) as a combination. I bet IR will have good response to the train.

BNC can't be used for terminating long distance daily trains. And SBC is jam packed till morning 11. So if it starts from KCG at 20:30 ( Venkatadri SF starts at 20:00), it can't enter SBC/YPR before 11:00... So better slot would be leaving KCG by 17:00 and reaching YPR by 05:00
