The only useful train will be Melmaruvathur- Velankanni special. I don't know why it is only till Melmaruvathur when you have Chennai Egmore within 90 Km from here. This should be made as a direct daily express from MS to VLKN which will immensely benefit pilgrims...
i am agree on it as i was traveling to vlkn every yr so i have to face difficulties in getting the tikts bcoz only single train frm ms egmore and it is also passing thru ngt so railway or sr should increase the trains on this route frm ms to vlkn and a direct train should be given as there are millions of pilgrims who are using this route to reach vlkn and now the station also developed at vlkn so they can increase service on ms-vlkn route
Yes. Presently there is only one link express with only four coaches to VLKN where thousands and thousands of pilgrims from other states come to this holy place everyday .SR is not even running a single special train during the months of August to September and November to January. Hope this train gets extended to MS and will be a daily one.
