Gulbarga Divisional Headquarters allocation to be raised:
Former Railway Minister M. Mallikarjun Kharge said that the current Minister D. Sadananda Gowda agreed to increase the allocation for establishing the Divisional Headquarters of South Western Railways in Gulbarga.
Talking to presspersons on Saturday, Mr. Kharge said that he had taken up the issue with Mr. Gowda, pointing out that a nominal token of Rs. 1,000 had been allocated in the Railway Budget for the project.

added that Mr. Gowda said that the nominal sum was a mistake and that the Centre wanted to provide Rs. 10 crore. Mr. Kharge had allocated Rs. 5 crore in his interim budget for the Divisional Headquarters.
Mr. Kharge said that the Minister had not increased allocations for the pending Bidar-Gulbarga railway line, Gadag-Wadi new line and failed to provide any funds for the proposed Railway Coach Building factory at Kolar.
