Grievance Description : For reducing the long gap between both the sections(Kannur-Mangalore Kannur-Kozhikode), new passenger trains can be introduced during the long gap between 11AM and 2PM, as there is no daily train between 11.25hrs 13.50hrs(2hrs 25 mts. gap) from Kannur to Kozhiode and no daily train between 11.15hrs 14.25hrs(3hrs10 mts. gap) from Kannur to Mangalore. Also, from Mangalore, there is no daily train to Kozhikode between 8AM 11.45AM(between CBE FP CBE ICE) with a gap of 3hrs 45mts. New Mangalore Central-Kozhikode passenger shall be introduced, leaving Mangalore at 9.45AM, arriving Kannur at 12.40hrs, leaving Kannur at 12.45hrs and arriving Kozhikode at 15.00hrs. This train will fill the whole long gap between Mangalore to Kozhikode. Also, the existing Thrissur-Kannur Passenger can be extended upto Mangalore, leaving Kannur at 13.00hrs, as a connection to Ernakulam-Kannur Intercity Express. As TCR-CAN passenger (56603) arrives Kannur at 12.20hrs, the train can stay at Kannur for 40 minutes and arriving Mangalore at 4PM. This train be same like CAN-SRR passenger(56602), which arrives Kozhikode at 17.05hrs and leaves CLT at 18.10hrs, waiting for 65 mts at CLT. The existing rake of CHV-MAQ Passenger(5661) can be utilized for new MAQ-CLT passenger. For the existing CAN-SRR passenger(56602), new rake has to be used, as the rake of TCR-CAN passenger(56603) is used for CAN-SRR passenger. Details : The receipt of your grievance is hereby acknowledged. This has reference to your grievance cited above. Introduction of new trains is a policy matter to be decided by Railway Board. The division has already proposed to run one pair of passenger train between CAN-MAQ and back, vide this office letter No.J/T.454/-92 dated 08.08.2007 and included in the time table proposal of 2007-08, 2008-09, forwarded to CPTM/MAS, but it ws not agreed by the railway
