Can anyone tell me that when was the Kharagpur - Bangalore Track built by IR and when did IR open and then electrify the entire HWH - KGP - SBc Route ? Thanks :-)
Wikipedia Page states that Banglore Cantonment (SBc) was established in the Year 1806 and was merged with Bangalore (Now BENGALuru) City in 1881. So it seems that the Kharagpur - Bangalore Rail Tracks must have been laid in the late 1880s or early 1890s.
.
It seems that the Howrah - Bangalore Rail Route must have been electrified around the Late 1990s or Early 2000s as OHE Poles at and near Yeshwantpur still look fresh and the Single Electrified Track between Cuttack and Bhubaneswar via Barang Jn is being doubled.
