Are you sure of that? Would you be able to share the source of this?
Current me bhi last booked fare pe hi milega plus 250 Rs as mentioned by Vishwanath Ji (have read somewhere that 250 is charged as penalty) cant understand why :P
Last minute passengers bhi hardly kuch hi hoge and would surely get pissed of after seeing the fares.. :P

I think we are confusing two different things.. one is current booking from station itself.. the other is onboard booking for unreserved passengers.. the news article posted in the blog above pertains to onboard booking. In that case, higher premium fare paid on that train + 250 will be charged by TTE. I dont think that pertains to current booking on the station.
