The newly constructed bridge started functioning in river sone between son nagar and dehri on sone station on grand chord section. The birdge is triple line electfied but only up and down line are functioning as of now ,on the centre line the signals are not fixed yet . The tracks going to old bridge has been left and ohe wires has been dismantled . The old bridge is now history and their will be no trains passing by now , the old bridge was masterpiece which holds record of being longest rail bridge of India for a century .

Ab yeh naya wala vemband rail bridge ke baad bana toh isko longest ka tag nahi milega . Kosis karenge ki ek baar pic le le jispe likha hai " UPPER SONE BRIDGE 3.061 KMS "

Wow... thanks for this picture. It seems that trains may run at 100+ Kmph MPS over this new bridge in the months to come if it support such speeds. Is this 3-Track Bridge part of the new double electrified #EDFC track route ? :-)

No this bridge is for regular traffic , the construction for separate bridge is going on for #edfc just besides this one . the lights you see in the picture is of machines which are in engaged in construction of new bridge .

Correct me if I am wrong :-
.
By 2017, there will be 5 Tracks between Mughalsarai and Sonenagar (3+2 DFC), 4 tracks between Gaya and Koderma (2+2 DFC), 5 Tracks between Koderma and Hazaribagh Road (2 for Grand Chord + 1 for Talaiya - Koderma Line + 2 for DFC), 4 Tracks between Hazaribagh Road and Sitarampur AND 6 Tracks between Sitarampur and Dankuni (4+2 DFC)... :-D
