The time table for this train 17321/17322 may seem to discouraging for passengers, as buses take about just 10-12 hours to reach mumbai to Hubballi. where as the train scheduled train takes almost about 18-20 hours to reach Hubballi-Mumbai-Hubballi.
I guess railways need to speed up the train to make it attractive or else it may not prove to be a profitable train.

The running time is more as the weekly train goes via GDG,BJP and SUR.and also via Panvel by increasing the distance by about 100 kms. Further engine reversal has to be made at GDG. However train no.17317/18 which is a weekly now will be made daily as per the new time table in force shortly. That train goes via BGM,MRJ which is the shortest route.
Hubbali- to Mumbai via Londa,Madgaon in the Konkan Route daily train have to be operated or Mumbai-Madgoan train have to be extended to the Hubbali if Konkan refused to operate another train in the Northern Konkan Route.
