But Rourkela is nearer to Ranchi na............You should take train from Rourkela to Ahemdabad.
Rourkela is 170 KMs from Ranchi. Its 2:30 hours to 3:30 hours journey.
Rourkela comes in Odisha State whereas Ranchi is in Jharkhand State.

Tatanagar(Jamshedpur) is 160 KMs to 200 KMs from Ranchi.

i think you are right but If you search and think about Bilaspur then also check 2 months avaibility on those 5 trains which passes Bilaspur we don't have a good quota on all howrah bound trains and govt already done trail by Running Raipur Hapa trains which gives more successful even railway not thinked about it and because of Limited rack maintenance facility they started the train from Bilaspur i have posted 2 images of reservation status of this train before fist run on 13th nov 2014.

think a new bi-weekly exp between HTE and ADI via ROU BSP NGP can be
run..its true there are many trains from Chhattisgarh to Gujarat
but its tough to get reservation in them hence a new train is given to serve ppl of Bilaspur Raipur Bhilai-Durg...i know Ranchi too has large demand for Gujarat,hence a new train with maximum quota...

se odd timing hone k wajah se khali jaati thi ye train...bilaspur tak
extension demand hone k kaaran huya hai...aur iska rake maintenance
Bilaspur me nahi hota hai ...mere father ADI tak aur ek friend ST tak travel kar chuke hain is train me jab ye R se chlti thi..dono ko ye train khali mili thi..
