I am planning in a Konkan railway trip in feb 2015. The route that i have selected is Ernakulam to Mumbai due to the number of caves and bridges!
I have selected 2 trains viz., Kerala Sampark Kranti and 12617/Mangala Lakshadweep Express.
I plan to travel by 2 ac. KSKr has HAC coach.
could guys tell me in which train would I have...

a better chance of securing Side lower and Side Lower Berth (Travelling with a friend), and also, is there a particular algorithm which i can follow to secure these seats?
Any help would be appreciated.
