I'm a puducherrian.... I usually travel to mumbai often. If the govt. employs a train from puducherry to mumbai cst, it would be of great help. Moreover, there are many hindi and marathi speaking people in puducherry who find very difficult to often go to villupuram or chennai for boarding a train to mumbai. Whether the govt. take necessary steps regarding this issue???
Ask for a train to Howrah and you get it. Ask for a train to Mumbai from southern india and you never get it.

First check all India railway map and see how PDY is connected with rest of country.

PDY is a Union territory which is having just 11 km of railway track which is electrified. Villupuram comes under Tamilanadu not PDY

actually in rail-atlas it is given as diesel route so just wanted to confirm and then ask moderator to correct. I villupuram is in tamilnadu but i think u did not understood my question clearly
