Once I was travelling in 11016 for a short distance, vigilance squad came and started checking IDs in my coach and fined 6 people, all of them were workers travelling back to gkp and didn't have ids
I think this is very old rule. For SL travelling with orignal ID has started long back. Pls correct me if I am wrong
