Today marks the beginning of an exclusive daily train between UBL-LTT and UBL-GR-SC. This was a long standing demand of the north west karnatka to have a daily train to Mumbai and also a train connectivity to north east region of the state of Karnataka like Kalaburgi,Yadgir district and vice versa.Though the timings of 17317 is quite good, the timings of 17318 leaving LTT at 9.05 is of not much use. Hope this will be changed in due course. The trains with increased frequency will be flagged off today by Dharwad MP at UBL today.I thank the two former railway Ministers from the state who were instrumental in starting this train and also making this two trains daily.
