Sub-Express/Sufer fast Train Between Pune & (Kolhapur,Miraj,Sangli)
Everyday Thousands of People commute on this route (Min 100-150 Buses ), Mostly in daytime by Bus (Distance- 230 Kms,Highway NH 4,Approx Time 5 hrs ), There are day time trains like Koyna Express & Other trains takes around 8 Hrs,(Distance is 330 Kms ) hence many people do not prefer to travel by train even though the Fares are Cheap.
Why dont the Indian Railways run a Day time trains between this stations, with the travelling time between 4 to...

Its single line diesel track. barring KR, there is no other track on IR which will give such high average speeds on such a track.
While anyone who has traveled on that track will agree that there is a need for trains with better average and sectional speed, unless doubling and electrification is done, its almost impossible to compete with the very smooth, 4-lane NH 4
