Have anyone visited "Valley of flowers" at Uttarakhand? Which is nearest railhead? How to reach the spot? Is the trek advisable for a 40 yr old person? :)
How many days will it take to enjoy the nature there? What are the options for accommodation and dining? Which is the best time to visit?
If anybody been there, pls share your valuable suggestions and guidance...

You can consult some trek companies at Rishikesh. We trekked from Joshimath as there was some problem with our bike. Actually you can go all the way to Govindghat and start from there. Max it will take 10 hours from there. You can consult some experts here click here
Valley of flowers can be done in 8 hours from Govindghat easily. No 3 days stuff.
You must be really good at bikes and no fear of heights..
Because the route is such that drivers get nausea type feeling..
Although it feels really beautiful as a traveller.
