Maharashtra,Karnataka, Kerala and Goa contributed 22%,15%, 6% and 6% respectively towards construction of Konkan Railway. Total 49% by all 4 states and balance 51% by Government. So, in % proportion, 30% tickets should be available to Karnataka stations. Is it really happening??
From Karnataka, only 5 trains are originating in Konkan Railway (Matsyagandha and SF to Mumbai, 1 SF and 1 pass to Madgaon and Karwar-SBC). Karnataka pax have quotas only in these trains. Others trains are passing ones and specific quotas are not there (except MAO-ERS weekly). Most of these passing trains cross coastal Karnataka (KR stretch) at odd hours with no use (Mangala, Netravathi, Rajdhani and other Delhi bound trains).

disagree with Rajdhani passing at odd times in Karnataka. In fact it passes at decent times in Karnataka while passing through Kerala mostly at night. Agree with rest though. Karnataka has been given quite a raw deal with regards to KR.
