Short Report:
"I
...
was very nervous because indeed i took a very big risk from my side, i was about to loose my connection to Nagpur"
Another fine day when i was about to return to Nagpur i searched up trains on NTES and found that only Pawan express was running on time and ASR LTT running late by 03:45 hrs and 11016 Kushinagar by 2:52 hrs, NTES predicted ASR LTT will arrive Burhanpur at 21:15hrs which i assumed to be safe considering my connection Sewagram express that had 22:15 arrival at BSL (takes 40 mins by other trains and 1 hr by ASR LTT), it further got trolled in WCR and became 03:45 hrs late and arrival and now it became risky.
I reached station at 21:00hrs and found that no announcement was done. at 21:10 announcement started and LEDs of coach display board started displaying coach details. But it didn't arrived before 21:40, i saw a mid mounted lamp and came to know that P7 was the link found the road number to be 30207. I boarded my coach and heard a soft honk followed by a Jolt, my train had started moving.
Actually ASR LTT took 1:10hrs in my last journey because it has 3 halts between Burhanpur and Bhusawal so i felt that soon i was going to loose my connection and scratched my head for next available option.
My train took a real good start and was flying at MPS soon i started my app on my WP to track speed and found out that LP was overspeeding, in my previous experiences reading didn't go quite above 111-112 but today was a different and much aggressive run the app showed 115-116 reading constantly for 10 mins, in 15 mins my train had reached its first halt at raver, we passed a BCNA frieght here. Platform in Raver is on mainline so WAP7 showed its true colours and again it started to accelerate madly. Again the speed reached to be 116km/hr and in 10 mins we were at our next halt at savda, my train got into PF loopline here i saw a milk frieght with 10 can cars and one GS coach at rear at flat 110km/h the chugging was heard for a long time and after a brief halt of 2 mins we again started moving. Again readings clocked to 114-115km/h and soon we were at our last halt before destination, at Nimbhora. We started after a very brief halt of 1 min and train went haywire from here constantly 113-4 km/h for 10 kms and crossed the Tapti River bridge at 110km/h els trip shed flew beside us and train only had slowed down when we were about to curve into PF1 at BSL. We made it to Bhusawal by 22:20 only in 40 mins which was mind blowing considering the 3 halts.
Thanks for your generosity for reading my long report of a short leg journey :)
Indeed the question is that are LPs are allowed to overspeed to cover the time lost by trains??

Yes they overspeed to cover delay... for e.g.. TN do overspeeds in WL BZA at 113-115 km/hr so as to cover delay as it arrives 2hrs late at WL many times... but in case of Non SF ... I am hearing for the first time... :O

This was first experience for me too because the track sounds became violent than usual when overspeeding started
