If nearby location is criteria...then pit line should not be at NSL as it is only 23 km from MMR and MMR has pit line facility (though it belongs to CR)..Bidar HYB distance is only 165 KM but still SCR is constructing pit line there. NS-BZA distance is only 140km but NS has pit line..AWB -NED distance is 236 KM but still there is no pit line....that means if SCR want they can construct pit line at AWB and more than NSL; AWB needs pit line as the city needs connectivity with whole India not like NSL; only for Shirdi from south India. also NSL terminating trains can easily be maintained at AWB. NSL falls in sever water scarcity region so pit line is not a viable option...there is no big city in vicinity, so will pose problems to employees and their families.
