People will take Rs5 passenger tickets to nearby stations instead of PF Ticket.I think that they are valid till the departure of the last train too.
The validity of the ticket is usually up to midnight of the day for which the ticket is issued or the last train in the direction except for the commuter services of mumbai , kolkata and chennai where journey must commence within 1-2 hours of ticket purchase.Also in case of delhi metro, the validity period of a token is 3 hours.
Just wondering whether making it Rs 10 will reduce the crowd in the stations??.
I dont think families or people in general will consider the cost of platform tickets and make a decision on whether to go to the station or not to receive or see of someone !!!
