Yes travelled 10-12 yrs back, and even i was astonished to see such process for bringing the train back to the pf.
And if you notice the railway crossing just ahead of the station has gates which open in such a way that if there is no train crossing than they will block the tracks completely and when there is a actual train crossing they block the road traffic completely.
So the width of the road and the train track premises actually matches to the width of both the gates.

Yeah, the Rake reverses, just to reach the PF.....Practically, the Rake is directioned same along with Loco Change (no reversal)!!
Or can say...dual reversal happens!! Once while the Rake reverse to get in PF...& then move back, opposite to reversal direction!!
